RadarWrangler ("the app") is operated by Paul Schneider ("we," "us," "our," the "Operator"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
You must be at least 13 years old to use RadarWrangler.
Assignment. We may assign these Terms, and transfer the app and responsibility for operating it, to an affiliated entity or successor, including a company we form or control, without notice to you. Your rights under these Terms are not reduced by such a transfer. You may not assign your rights under these Terms.
RadarWrangler is a game played on real, live weather radar and real storms.
It is not a weather service and must never be used for safety decisions. Storm positions, intensities, predictions and alerts in the app are generated for gameplay. They may be delayed, incomplete, wrong, or unavailable, and they are not a substitute for official warnings.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NOAA, the National Weather Service, or any government agency. Weather data is obtained from their public feeds and from other public sources. Agency names are used only to identify the source of data.
Real storm chasing is dangerous. Catching a storm in the game is never a reason to go find the real one. When severe weather threatens, follow the National Weather Service and your local officials.
RadarWrangler creates an anonymous account for you automatically. There is no password and no sign-up.
Because your account is anonymous, your progress is tied to your app installation. If you delete the app, reset your device, or switch phones, your progress and your friend connections may be permanently lost. We may offer an optional backup feature that links your account to an email address or Apple ID; until you use it, we cannot recover your account.
You are responsible for activity that occurs through your installation.
Bolts are the in-game currency. Rig items, gear, postcards, badges, crowns, ranks and similar are in-game items.
Bolts are never wagered. The optional stronger/weaker intensity call in the catch flow costs no Bolts and pays no Bolts; it adjusts your score only.
You may buy Bolts through in-app purchase.
RadarWrangler shows optional rewarded video ads through Google AdMob. Watching an ad is always your choice and always in exchange for an in-game reward.
We request non-personalized ads only and we do not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency to track you across other companies' apps or websites. AdMob may still collect limited device and usage data to serve and measure ads, under Google's own policies. See our Privacy Policy.
Communication is limited by design. Frontlines matches allow only a fixed set of canned reactions (emoji and pre-written phrases). There is no free-text messaging, no voice, and no photo sharing anywhere in the app.
Matches are with people you invite. There is no open matchmaking with strangers.
Location shared with other players is coarse. Friends and opponents see your state, not your address or precise position. You may set a home ZIP instead of granting location access.
Display names. You choose a name shown on leaderboards and to friends. You agree not to choose a name that is obscene, hateful, harassing, impersonates another person, or infringes anyone's rights. We filter names automatically and may reset any name to a default without notice. You can report a name by pressing and holding it on the leaderboard.
Friend labels. Any note you attach to a friend invite is stored on our servers. Do not put sensitive information in it.
Leaderboards may include computer-controlled players alongside real ones.

We may suspend or terminate access, reset statistics, or remove leaderboard entries for suspected violations, at our discretion and without notice.
The app uses your location to centre the map and to power location-based features. You can decline location access and set a home ZIP code instead.
If you opt in to severe weather notifications, we store a coarse version of your home location on our servers to match it against official weather alerts. You can turn notifications off at any time. See our Privacy Policy for detail.
Weather data comes from public sources including NEXRAD radar, MRMS, GOES lightning detection, and National Weather Service and Storm Prediction Center products, obtained directly or through public mirrors.
We do not control these sources. Data may be delayed, degraded, incomplete or unavailable, and outages upstream will affect the app. We make no guarantee of accuracy, timeliness or availability, and again: this is a game, not a weather service.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time, including features, game balance, and in-game items. We may update these Terms; material changes will be surfaced in the app or at radarwrangler.app/terms. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
You may stop using the app at any time and may delete your account from within the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your data and forfeits all Bolts and in-game items. Records we must keep for legal, financial or fraud-prevention reasons, such as purchase records, may be retained.
We may terminate or restrict your access if you violate these Terms.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT WEATHER DATA WILL BE ACCURATE, TIMELY OR COMPLETE.
You are solely responsible for your own safety and for any decisions you make about severe weather. Nothing in this app is a warning, forecast, or safety instruction.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROGRESS, VIRTUAL ITEMS, PROFITS OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so parts may not apply to you.
These Terms are between you and the Operator, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide support or handle claims relating to it. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
