RadarWrangler is a storm-chasing game. We keep data collection minimal. We do not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email, or password. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who processes it.
Location. With your permission, we use your device's location to center the live radar map on storms near you and to calculate in-game distances. In the multiplayer "Frontlines" mode, your approximate starting location is shared with your opponent and our servers to run the match. You can deny or revoke location access in your device settings; the app remains usable.
Identifiers. We assign a random, anonymous user ID (via Google Firebase Anonymous Authentication) so your progress and matches persist on your device. It is not tied to your real-world identity. Our advertising provider may access a device advertising identifier to serve ads.
Usage and game data. We collect in-app events (screens viewed, storms captured, purchases, ad views, in-game currency changes) and basic device information (model, OS version, language) to understand play and improve the game. Processed by PostHog.
Diagnostics. We collect crash reports and performance data (device/OS details, technical logs) to fix bugs. Processed by Sentry.
Purchases. When you buy in-game currency ("Bolts"), we and Apple/Google process the transaction. We store a record (transaction identifier, product, amount) linked to your anonymous ID to deliver your purchase and prevent fraud. We never receive or store your payment card details — those are handled entirely by Apple or Google.
User-provided content. If you set a display name for multiplayer, it is visible to opponents and stored with your match.
We show rewarded video ads through Google AdMob. We request non-personalized ads and do not use App Tracking Transparency to track you across other companies' apps or websites. AdMob may still collect limited device and usage data to serve and measure ads, subject to Google's policies: Google Ads.
We share data only with providers that help us run the app, each under their own terms:
We do not sell your personal information.
We keep game and analytics data as long as needed to operate and improve the game. Purchase records are retained as needed for fraud prevention and legal/accounting requirements.
RadarWrangler is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We use reasonable measures to protect data (encrypted transport, server-side purchase validation). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
We may update this policy; we will post the new version here and update the effective date.
